My Chemical Romance Keep Fans Interested At The Roxy Gerard Way

On July 7th, 2009, My Chemical Romance played a little practice show at the Roxy. From what fans who were fortunate enough to attend the show have said, it was FAR from a practice show. As did front man, Gerard Way.

"We don't do practice shows", said Gerard.

At the show, MCR played 3 new songs. The Drugs, Kiss The Rain, and another song that is untitled as of now. As a long time fan, I knew to expect something way different from My Chem. My expectations of beautiful love songs were far from accurate. Instead, I listened to punk-styled songs with edgy lyrics. I was not only surprised but relieved.

My sources informed me that the boys put on a show that seemed nothing like preparation.

"The crowd was lively and Gerard drew the people to him like a magnet", a fan said.

It was said to be preparation for Tokyo's "Summer Sonic Festival", which the band will be playing. Bassist, Mikey Way even prepared his wardrobe for Japan's MCR fans. His signature "MIKEY FUCKIN WAY" T-shirt was turned Japanese. Instead of the English saying on the shirt, he converted the words to Japanese!

"What fairy cupcake crap have you been listening to since we've been gone?" Front man, Way was quoted saying.

Although it sounds cocky, the audience didn't think so at all. The Roxy is a small club in California. It was different for the boys of My Chem, not an arena with thousands of people, but they made it a show you would never forget. They made everyone feel like they were apart of the band, according to the lucky fans who saw them.

So much is in store for the band. Gerard Way just becoming a father, the new album in progress, and don't forget the expected tour for the album. My Chemical Romance fans everywhere are patiently anticipating the arrival of new music.
