Harry Potter vs. Twilight
Daniel Radcliff and Robert Pattinson
Harry Potter and Twilight. Some say that they are hard to compare, but I can definitely choose one over the other.
Harry Potter - An 11 year old boy who lives with his Dudley-obsessed, crazy, completely unfair and cold-hearted aunt, uncle and cousin (Dudley), learns that he is a wizard when a half-giant named Hagrid tells him. They journey to Hogwarts, a wizarding school, and there he meets new friends, such as Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Luna Lovegood, Neville Longbottom, and Ginny Weasley. He challenges the Dark Lord, Voldemort, who had killed his parents. In the seven books he faces him and each is a heart-breaking, adventurous, humorous, fun tale.
Twilight - A 17 year old girl, Bella Swan, moves into a rainy town in Washington called Forks. There, she falls for a mysterious, hot Edward Cullen. Her friends are Angela Webber and Jessica ?. She soon discovers that she is in love with a vampire and he loves her back. Jacob Black, an old family friend and a werewolf, makes things complicated in these love stories. In each of the four books there is action, love and confusion and it is hard to stop reading once you picked it up.
Let's face it. Harry Potter is much more well-written, its descriptions are simply fantastic, and even in the darkest of times there's humor and courage. The characters are realistic and pleasurable (except, of course, Harry's enemies) and it's addicting.
Twilight has very good vocabulary and the descriptions are great. The plot is attention-catching and you can't put it down. The characters are unrealistic, however; Edward is a stalker and can be annoying, and Bella is too self-conscious and has low self-esteem.
I think you know where I'm gong here.
In my opinion, Harry Potter is a lot better than Twilight.
