Lara Croft - Tomb Raider Legend
Tomb Raider 7 is based around main character, Lara Croft's mission to find out what really happened to her mother, Amelia Croft. When she was 9 years old Lara survived a plane crash in the Himalayan mountains, which eventually resulted in the disappearance of her mother. After surviving 10 days alone, Lara returned home to live with her farther, who never gave up looking for his wife, until Lara was 15 and he died whilst on an archeology dig in Cambodia. Since then Lara decided to continue her furtherer's quest.
Whilst the graphics and movement are good, the actual length of the game isn't, it consists of 9 short levels, making it the shortest game of the Tomb Raider series. But the game play makes up for it, with harder more challenging puzzles and new features like grapple, adrenaline dodge, the torch and interactive cut scenes, allowing the player to be more interactive with the game. It also involves using some features together to defeat bosses, and get through certain parts, whereas the older games didn't. The plot keeps you interested all the way through the game, with two different stories coming into one. Lara's quest to find out what happened to her mother and to find out if her friend Amanda really died all those years ago, throughout the game Lara travels to a number of different places like Japan, Kazakhstan, Nepal, Ghana, Peru, Bolivia and London as well as picking up some supposedly mythical objects like Excalibur, king Arther's sword.
Keeley Hawes provides the voice of Lara in this adventure, whereas the other games were voiced by numerous other voice actors Keeley is said to 'be a keeper', she brings true emotion into the character she plays and is by far the best one. The ending of the game leaves you on a cliff-hanger, with everyone asking if that's the end of will there be a sequel.
