The six part series follows three twenty-something’s living together in an attempt to be human; because each is far from natural. There’s Mitchell, a 100-odd vampire, George, the werewolf, and Annie, a ghost.
Now there’s a plot nicked from Online Creative Writing sites.
But after a pilot broadcast last February, the series is airing already. Russel Tovey returns to play George, but Lenora Crichlow has supplanted Andrea Riseborough as Annie, and Aidan Turner has taken the hot-spot as Mitchell, played originally by Guy Flanagan.
Word spreads fast, so when I heard about the series from a friend, I immediately checked it out on iplayer. Ah, the wonders of technology! The first two episodes far exceeded my expectations, so I’m certainly tuning back in next week. Besides having a very Edward Cullen type vampire character, (though not the same style of looks; he's more Greek... I'll leave it to your own eyes) the show already has me writing spin-offs.
My one critique would be the rather shoddy wolf costume… could have simply made do with a wolf shadow. But otherwise, 10 out of 10.
